For a team-based project in my Digital Strategies class, we were tasked with designing a logo for a
local organization that helps veterans and disabled people get into the workforce. At the end, the organization
would choose their favorite logo to use as their own. After a few weeks of ideation and class collaboration,
our logo was ultimately chosen. We continued iterating with them until they were happy with the product.
Here is an article written about us!
On Illustrator, I was tasked with designing a propaganda poster. I chose “BYOB” by System of a Down, particularly the lyric “You depend on our protection.” I styled it like the famous “Obama Hope Poster.”
On Photoshop, during a self-learning unit, I followed a neon light effect tutorial. This was my final result.
On Photoshop, also part of my self-learning, I explored a realistic 3D effect using photo manipulation.
On Illustrator, I followed an abstract background tutorial for a self-learning unit. It features multiple layers and shapes creating a 3D-like effect.
Also on Illustrator, I practiced a flowing color effect tutorial as part of our self-learning “What I’ve Learned” sessions, resulting in this wavy abstract design.
On Illustrator, I was asked to apply interesting patterns discovered through research. I combined a crystalline fractal pattern with a scenic mountainous sunset to create this piece, inspired by recent hikes around Mt. Rainier.
On Photoshop, I wanted to learn a new stylistic technique, so I tried double exposure. I love how the sky’s gradient extends across the entire subject, creating a surreal blend of layers.
